It's Official
Well, it's official, the cut off date was 05/30/05. We missed it by ONE day. Since there were so many rumors, about the cut off date being 5/30, I had resigned myself to the idea, we were not going to receive our referral this month. At least it wasn't such a shock when I saw it on the CCAA website. Hopefully, the next month will fly by. In the meantime, I'm trying to prepare for our trip. I can say this with some degree of confidence... WE WILL RECEIVE OUR REFERRAL NEXT, unless they make the cut-off at noon, on 5/31.See what I mean about God trying to teach me patience. I don't think I've been the best student. Is there anything I can do for extra credit? Please!!!!
WHEN DOES THE FAT LADY SING?
The rumors of late, are not in our favor. It seems that 99.9% of the agencies, are communicating, via email or phone to the prospective parents that the cut-off date is 5/30. I've also been reading, that NO ONE knows for sure, until it's posted on the China Center of Adoption Affairs(CCAA) website. I'll keep everyone posted but...if you happen to hear a fat lady, belt out a tune. Let me know.
Another Rumor/Crazy Women
There was a time, when I would peruse the adoption message boards and think “these women are nuts” They would rant and rave, go on and on about rumors, the wait time for referrals, and complain about, why it’s taking so LONG. At that time, I wanted to say “Settle down, kick back, it will happen when it’s supposed to happen” Well…
I’ve now become one of those “crazy women”. I’ve been assimilated into the collective. I should've known…”Resistance is futile”
On to the latest rumor, this message appeared on the Bethany Discussion Forum. Bethany is another International Adoption Agency. For the moment... I’m optimistic
"Referrals -It has been confirmed with Shiyan and CCAA that this month's referral batches are for families with LID through the end of May (5/31).
New Rumors
Rumors have started again!!! In the past, the earliest rumors have orinigated from Spain. Two agencies in Spain, claim the new cut-off date (for dossiers logged in with the China Center of Adoption Affairs) is 5/30/05. I REFUSE to believe this rumor. Our LID (Log in Date) is 5/31/05. I can't possibly wait another month!!! Throughout my life, God has been trying to teach me patience. I guess this is the final exam. I hope I pass...
