Waiting for Éva

An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet regardless of time, place or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but will never break. An Ancient Chinese Belief

Please follow us on our journey to Éva, on the "Story of You" website.

Hopefully, we'll be able to post our daily journal and add pictures.

    Our China Adoption Video

I had plans for creating an adoption video before this journey began; well, it's finally finished. I spent plenty of time and shed many tears re-livng the moments. I wish I could do it all again.

    I hope you enjoy it.

    No More Work

Today was my last day of work at Siemens Business Services. I've been dreaming about this day for a very long time and I was looking forward to it. In my dreams, I would ride off into the sunset with my brakes squealing and the scent of burning rubber in the distance. "I was going to get the hell out there" Well, real life is never as we dream it. It takes you by surprise. I was quite emotional and it was very difficult for me to say Good-bye, so in many cases, I didn't. This chapter was difficult to finish but in 5 days I will be starting a new chapter.

Once upon a time, in a far off land, there was a little girl, waiting for her forever family....

Travel Approvals are in and we're not ready.

The Travel Approvals were not expected until early June, so we were very surprised to hear on Friday 5/19, that Faith International had received them. Now our appointment at the American Consulate can be scheduled. Travel dates are contingent on this appointment, because it occurs at the end of our trip. We were told they (Faith International) will try to schedule this appointment on 6/12 or 6/13 or 6/19 and we could leave as early as 6/1. Yes, that's right, June 1st. We won't know for sure, until we hear from Faith. Hopefully today or tomorrow.

This was quite a shock to us, we didn't think we would travel until mid/late June.

I'm freaking, I'm in a panic and I have so much to do!!!!!
